Execution: Selection and replacement of the SIMOVERT
MATERDRIVE VC on a cabinet-mounted SINAMICS
G120P with project development, delivery,
reinstallation, and precommissioning.
A unique feature of the project is that the OEM was not
willing to offer modernization and suggested that an
entirely new compressor be purchased. During
precommissioning the aid of an OEM technician was
required in order to correctly alter the PLC software;
nevertheless, the work was successfully completed
at significant savings to the client.
Objective: To replace an old control system built
using SIMOREG components with analogue controls
Solution: SINAMICS DCM 1200A converter; 1GG
direct current motor
Modernization of the direct current drive
of a cable lift
Execution: replacement of the SIMOREG with a
SINAMICS DCM 1200A with project development,
delivery, reinstallation, and precommissioning.
Subsequent replacement of the motor with an
up-to-date 1GG-series direct current motor. Possibility
of replacing the control system using a PLC S7-1200
in the future (the work was conducted in stages since
operation of the cable lift could only be suspended
in the off season).
